Super grateful that I got to draw Rav one last time before Malene kills him.

    The only sensible reason I can think of is precisely because there’s so much magic stuff floating around that having Mage Sight (or whatever it’s called) turned on all the time ends up causing splitting headaches or something.

    Spells take effort/energy to cast. Look back at the battle after they left Delezar. The folks attacking the church actively identify the High Cleric as likely running low on spells. Having Osd Elriv active all the time would end up potentially exhausting the user.
