Chapter 2 Page 83

Which instrument should we never ever give Eggie at all costs?

My vote is either for harmonicas or vuvuzelas. Bagpipes could also cause some chaos but I feel like that chaos would be more majestic-sounding.

Sorry it's another one-page update. I'm still kind of recovering from the Oridell fatigue plus being sick, and also I am an idiot who sucks at organizing my time.

Thanks always for your readership and support. So many of you have been so generous recently and I'm forever grateful - you don't have to do that but you choose to anyway, and it speaks a lot to the kindness you have.

Have a good week, you beautiful bitches, and if you're in the US remember that today is the day for doing the whole VOTING thing!!!

  1. Fascinating!

  2. Oooh, and now we know her Divine Power!
…Admittedly, hard to see how singing to an entire city at a time is going to save the world, but looking at the temple portraits, I think one of the Champions had the Power of Divine Hearing, so she’s in good company there.

    1. In a world of magic “Bardic Inspiration”, empowerment though music, could very well be A Thing. Singing to an entire city about overcoming hardships during a siege for instance? Oridell fought a physical incarnation of plague because he couldn’t die, and just how many stories or there are of music soothing the savage beast? There are all sorts of uses for being able to be heard from far distances, the least of which is acting as a city crier to distribute news and if she can go further out than just a city… .

    2. Hm, I wonder if just her voice was transmitted, or if the music was allowed to hitch a ride on the song. The answer might hint at how her gift is supposed to be used…

  4. Meh, my “reply” didn’t work right… .

Nice to know a fraction of her power, now it is just a matter of how she uses it.

  5. And so it begins! Naturally, she has the power to be heard from a distance. This at least means she can act as a long-distance bearer of news, and her music can raise morale. And who knows, maybe she has other potential we have yet to see………………………

  6. I wonder if STICKS heard it in the temple 😂

Keep up the excellent work DT, but don’t burn yourself out!

    1. DANG I HOPE SO, MAYBE THE SONG DISLOGGED THE STICK.

  7. Woah hold up, is this why Eggie was so loud when she was born? The foreshadowing omg

  8. There have been SO MANY mentions that this town is quiet and Eggie is loud, but I always just chuckled and thought “nice joke”. Didn’t think these two things could clash so beautifully! Eggie is the worst thing that could have happened to this town, and also the best.

“Sorry it’s another one-page update.” – Dude, one-page updates are the norm for webcomics. We love your story and we love you, but don’t feel like you owe us anything. You don’t, no matter how grateful we are. Be reasonable with work and stay healthy. Even if it takes a while longer sometimes, we will still be here and wait for you, patiently, and that’s ok.

  9. I’m freaking grateful for a one-page update. I don’t think anyone expects more than that. The Oridell piece was an over-the-top gift! I am really loving your work. Keep it up at a reasonable pace and we may still be reading years from now! 🙂

  10. Dear adventureswitheggie.com webmaster, Good to see your posts!

    1. Thank you very much, person who is definitely real and not a bot.
