So, either the villains have seriously underestimated Sticks… or they brought along a powerful caster of their own. Either way, could be interesting (although I suspect that it’s not going to end well for Sticks…)
Or this is a distraction to keep him busy while the one with the dual swords from their first appearance, who isn’t in this one, does his thing elsewhere.
Beautiful artwork, lazy writing. The seemingly unlikable character redeems himself in the end, and it is revealed that he is, in fact, really cool so that the reader feels sorry for his loss. I would really like to be proven wrong but I do not think I will.
Lazy comment. It’s been clear for a while that Sticks is actually a really good person balancing the requirements of his faith with his love for all those he’s raised. The confrontation with Eggie basically spelled it all out. If you think this came out of nowhere, you haven’t been paying attention.
This is so funny to me because the common criticism of my work used to be that my writing was good but my art needed serious improvement. I know you probably meant this as a bit of a dig but I’m just so thrilled to see feedback that expresses my art as a strong point, so thanks for that, lol!
See, that’s the thing if you read a lot of stories. You get to know the twists and turns used to involve you into the story. Nothing bad about that. The art does not lie in *not using established plot moving strategies*, but doing it in a way that’s still enjoyable.
